BioDigitalPC 7ADDC Announces the Latest BioDigitalPC Based on the AMD Embedded G-Series System-on-Chip

Arnouse Digital Devices, Corp (ADDC) has completed testing and initial production of the credit card-sized BioDigitalPC (measuring 52mm x 84mm x 6mm), utilizing the recently announced AMD (NYSE: AMD) Embedded G-Series CPU System-on-Chip (SOC) platform. The BioDigitalPC family of products, manufactured in the U.S. by ADDC, features credit card-sized computing systems complete with CPU, RAM and memory storage.

“We are extremely pleased with the performance and quality of this latest BioDigitalPC. Imagine fitting an x86 quad core CPU, 8GB of DDR3 and 128GB SSD all in a credit card sized form factor,” said ADDC CEO Michael Arnouse. “The model offers double the high-speed RAM and adds capabilities like VT-x and virtualization on all models. In addition to these new capabilities is a higher performing graphics engine.”

The latest BioDigitalPC will be named the BioDigitalPC 7 and will add to the already launched BioDigitalPC family of products that are being used by the U.S. Department of Defense for various projects, servers, communications equipment and various commercial uses.

“We believe that the AMD G-Series SOC complements the compact BioDigitalPC 7 perfectly, offering users a seamless solution for high performance graphics and power efficiency, all in the palm of your hand,” said Kamal Khouri, director of embedded products, AMD. “The next generation of embedded computing will be enabled by SoC solutions.”

Keeping in line with ADDC's stated goal of green computing, including the reduction of e-waste and conserving energy without sacrificing performance, the BioDigitalPC 7 offers significant power savings over computing systems currently on the market.

With its Enhanced Universal Video Decode (UVD), the AMD G-Series SOC offers a new video encode capability that allows playback of even the most demanding video at high frame rates. The BioDigitalPC series of computing platforms is capable of running all x86-based operating systems including 64-bit Linux, Android and Windows distributions, including Windows Server.

ADDC is currently taking orders on 6W, 9W, 15W and 25W varieties of the BioDigitalPC with the dual or quad core AMD Embedded G-Series SOC, 2 to 8GB DDR3 and 4GB to 128GB SSD.

The new AR 1000S1G2z5 solid state amplifier provides 1000 watts of CW output power from 1 to 2.5GHz, ideally complementing their previous 100, 250, and 500 watts models. This new amplifier has all the features of those previous models and fits neatly into a 24 U enclosure. The low level of spurious signals and linearity of the Model 1000S1G2z5 make it ideal for use as a driver amplifier in testing wireless and communication components and subsystems. It is also ideal for EMC Test applications where undistorted modulation envelopes are desired and as a TWTA replacement. Millitech Gaussian Optic AntennaIntroducing the 18-40GHz Gaussian Optic Antenna (GOA)

Millitech Inc. (Northampton MA) is pleased to announce the delivery of their new 18-40GHz Gaussian Optic Antenna.

These Gaussian Optic Antennas (GOAs) provide superior efficiency due to low blockage and low-loss optics. The dual-polarization versions have excellent cross-polarization isolation using a grid polarizer and two linear polarized feeds. Typically, 40 dB of cross-polarization isolation is maintained over the frequency band. The interface is standard 2.92mm coaxial connectors. Efficiency ranges from 30-50% over the band for both dual-pol and single-pol versions.
